Copyright Infringement
Recently found out about a person on deviant art I watch which is going through a Copyright Infringement case. She currently is 18 and is already a great photographer. She had an image on her site of herself that was taken when she was 14, this image was also watermarked, that she recently found was being used on the cover of a porn dvd. They had found the image online, removed the watermark and since have been using it without permission. She tried to deal with them directly with no luck and has finally found a lawyer here in the US (she is in the UK) to take the case. Surprised it took her so long since this seems to be an open and shut case.
1. stealing and use of a copyrighted image.
2. removal of copyright management information
3. no model release on the subject
4. dvd states all persons associated with dvd are over 18 (well the cover is not)
I personally hope she wins a landfall that sets her up well for her career in photography.

They left themselves open for 2257 problems - even if she’s just on the cover I would think they would still have the recordkeeping responsibilities.
:0 seriously I would be freaking out if I found someone had used my image for a fucking porn dvd and the fact that she is 14 in her image is just fucking sick to me.
I hate people some times really hate them.
I’m sorry for the girl going through this and hope she kicks their asses in court!
